This beautiful medicine center, full of flowering gardens and medicine plants, is a unique and exceptional place. Caya Shobo is dedicated to providing real healing, highly tailored to each individual, for small groups of no more than 12 guests.
We operate on a a not-for-profit basis and are one of the only Western-run Ayahuasca centers that has been endorsed by the Coshicox Shipibo Conibo Tribal Council for the outstanding quality of our medicine and our master healers. Our dedication and commitment to genuine healing is second to none.
Whether you’re an experienced seeker or a newcomer, all are welcome.
What to Expect:
You have the option to attend for a 12-day retreat or a 9-day retreat (all participants must arrive in time to start their retreat on the first date listed for the retreat).
If you opt for a 12-day retreat you’ll have the opportunity to partake in up to 8 Ayahuasca ceremonies, tailored to your particular needs through a personally prescribed plant Dieta treatment. With this full-length retreat option, you will have the option to diet some of the more powerful master healing plants (such as Pinon Blanco, Bobinsana, etc), and you will be best placed to experience the deep healing benefits of the traditional Shipibo plant Dieta practice.
With a 9-day stay you’ll have the opportunity to partake in up to 6 Ayahausca ceremonies and also receive a personally prescribed plant Dieta treatment with a more gentle Dieta healing plant (such as Rosa Sisa, Canela, Albaca, etc). A 9-day stay is the minimum amount of time to enter plant Dieta.
Throughout your stay, personalized daily plant therapies are made available to supplement your retreat experience.
The Ayahuasca ceremonies will be led by our Shipibo maestros Arturo & Walter, & Lucinda whose decades of technical experience with Amazonian plant medicine are matched by their empathy and their desire to help others along the path of healing and spiritual growth.
Caya Shobo’s team of experienced facilitators play an important supportive role during the ceremonies, providing translation assistance in both English and Spanish and sometimes also in Russian or German. Facilitators assist with knowledgeable guidance and integration counselling during your stay.
A Focused Journey:
To ensure a distinctive experience, we limit bookings to a maximum of 12 participants. This intimate setting allows participants to receive individualized treatment for their unique spiritual and healing journey. In our experience, large groups can be distracting to participants and don’t afford our maestros and facilitators the dedicated time they need to truly facilitate deep transformation and healing. Also with smaller groups, guests can more easily relax into and focus on their own process.
Please note, that the final number of confirmed maestros and facilitators in attendance at each retreat will depend on the number of guests participating. (Groups of at least 7 guests will have at least 2 maestros and 2 experienced facilitators in attendance).
What’s Included:
Your all-inclusive package covers everything you need for this extraordinary retreat: 8 Ayahuasca Ceremonies (for 12-day retreats) or 6 Ayahuasca ceremonies (for 9-day retreats), personalized plant medicine and icaro treatments, comfortable accommodation with room-cleaning/laundry service, delicious Dieta-friendly meals, and convenient airport or hotel transfers to and from Iquitos. Wi-Fi is available for guests in the common area.
Accommodation:
Choose from several accommodation options: The standard room, spacious and equipped with a private bathroom, is our most affordable option. For those seeking a more immersive jungle experience, we offer stylish hard-wood jungle tambos (with shared bathroom facilities). And for the seekers of luxury even in the jungle, spacious Tambo Bamboo with its gorgeous high ceiling and bamboo supports, and its own beautiful private bathroom is our most deluxe accommodation option.
Retreat Preparation & Integration:
When inquiring about a stay at Caya Shobo, you will be asked to provide detailed information regarding your medical, physical and mental health history before your reservation is confirmed. We’re happy to talk with you personally to help answer all your questions, and we will also guide you about preparing your body and mind for the retreat in the weeks before your arrival in Peru.
After your departure from Peru we offer meaningful support for integration including access to group and/or private integration sessions, the opportunity to open a plant dieta from home and recommendations for the next steps in your journey of self-transformation.
